The electric door closer is different from the hydraulic fire door closer, it combines the functions of the electromagnetic release and the non-positioning door closer into one.
Inside it is a solenoid valve and a strong spring. When the door is pushed, the spring is compressed and locked by the solenoid valve to keep the door in a normal open state. When the power is supplied, the solenoid valve is released and closed by the rebounding impact force of the spring, without buffering function.
It was first applied to normally open fire doors, but was not promoted and applied in the fire door market because the fire department believed that power transmission and closing doors did not comply with fire protection regulations. At present, hydraulic automatic door closers are still used in the fire door market. But as far as the electric door closer itself is concerned, it doesn't make much sense.
The electric door closer is suitable for normally open fire doors, and its function is to make the fire doors normally open. Combining the functions of electromagnetic door stopper and door closer, but the price has also doubled.
